School Network Upgrade Project - Pilot

Torque IP assisted the Ministry of Education in the creation of the ICT Infrastructure Standards in 2004.

A pilot project to upgrade and test these standards followed with 36 schools involved in the Pilot, which included the 12 schools in the Paeroa Region, 12 schools in East Tamaki Region (now know as Manaiakalani), 6 schools in Wellington and 6 Schools in the Golden Bay area.

Torque IP Designed and Project Managed the Tamaki and Paeroa Clusters of the Pilot.

The pilot and lessons learnt lead to the Ministry releasing a number of RFP's to the market to upgrade all school networks nationwide.
