Welcome to Torque IP, the brainchild of Mak Kulkarni and Phil Earl.

It all started over 19 years ago, Phil was interviewing Mak for a sales position in his previous employment. Mak impressed Phil straight away with his skill set and witty intellect, something Phil still admires to this day. After developing designs and standards for many clients using product they were employed to sell, they quickly realised there wasn’t room to grow within the company and identified the need for an independent ICT (Information and Communication Technology) design specialist, where currently none existed.

Torque IP was born, from humble beginnings as a two-man team, to an independent specialist smart building consultancy with 20 experts and a national reach throughout New Zealand.

Nearly 20 years on and they are proud to be recognised as a leading ICT Building Services Consultant with no product alignment and an envious end-to-end track record and reputation for ‘making it work’. Their key role is to represent their clients’ best interests to get it right the first time, while subjecting projects, suppliers, contractors, external stakeholders and architects to a rigorous assurance process.

Looking to the future, the next 5 years includes investing in Artificial Intelligence and the Torque IP team of highly skilled consultants to reshape the services they offer, while continuing to deliver innovative solutions to their customers.
