Forming part of the suite of initiatives implemented, Torque IP was tasked to develop systems that would provide resilience to critical electrical services at these remote locations.
Photovoltaic solar arrays were deployed in conjunction with battery storage systems in order to generate and store energy, ensuring that water pumps, ICT network services and core electrical functions could be maintained under loss of grid electrical supply.
Torque IP managed the planning, specification, procurement, deployment and quality assurance of 20kW photovoltaic solar arrays and battery storage systems. These deployments resulted in the much-needed resilience of electrical supply to critical services in addition to providing ongoing financial savings through reduced reliance of grid electrical supply.
